Delete your Nexus POS account
You can delete your Nexus POS login yourself in the app, or ask us to do it by email. This page explains both ways, what gets deleted, and what is kept and why.
Quick answer
- In the app: Settings > Your account > Delete my account.
- By email: write to support@nexuspos.co from your account email. We handle requests within 30 days.
Delete your login in the app
Any signed-in team member can do this.
- Open Nexus POS and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Your account.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
You are signed out on every device right away.
Delete all business data (business owners)
If you own the business, you can delete all of its data.
- Open Nexus POS and sign in as the owner.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Your data.
- Tap Delete all data and confirm.
If your business runs its own Nexus server, you can also delete your data from that server. Deleting business data cannot be undone. Export anything you need for your books first.
Ask us by email
If you cannot use the app, or prefer not to, email us:
- Send an email to support@nexuspos.co.
- Use the subject "Delete my account".
- Include the email address on your account. Sending from that address helps us confirm it is you.
- Tell us if you want just your login deleted, or all business data (owners only).
We may ask you to confirm your identity. We complete requests within 30 days and reply to confirm.
What is deleted
When you delete your login
- Your email address.
- Your password (stored as a hash).
- All your sign-in sessions.
When an owner deletes all business data
- Products, sales, expenses and settings.
- Staff names, roles and PINs.
- Customer records: names, phone numbers, emails, birthdays, loyalty points, notes and marketing choices.
- Team logins for that business.
What is kept, and why
- Sales you rang up. When a team member deletes their login, sales they made stay in the business's records under their name. The business needs them for its books, taxes and audits. Only the business owner can delete those records.
- Payment records at processors. Payment processors such as Stripe, Square, PayPal, Authorize.net or Clover keep their own records under their own policies. Contact them directly.
- Blockchain transactions. Crypto payments are recorded on public blockchains. No one can delete them.
- Emails already sent. Receipts and other emails already delivered stay in recipients' inboxes.
- Records the law requires. If the law requires us to keep something, we keep only that, only as long as required.
Data stored on your device or in Claude
In local mode, data lives only on your device or browser. Use Settings > Your data > Delete all data, clear the browser's site data, or uninstall the app. If you use Nexus as a Claude artifact, your data is stored in your Claude account. Delete it there as well.
Early-access sign-ups
If you signed up for early access on our website, email support@nexuspos.co from the address you used and ask to be removed. We will delete your sign-up within 30 days.
Customers of a shop
If a shop that uses Nexus POS has your details as a customer, that shop controls your record. Please ask the shop to delete it. If you cannot reach them, email us and we will pass your request on.
